Mrs. Wood lives with Mr. Wood and her two surviving children with their Chocolate Lab. He (the Lab) enjoys small animals to chase and devouring stuffed animals. As a family they enjoy playing board games, hiking, road trips, and making ice cream.
Mrs. Wood graduated in 2018 from Purdue University with her Master's degree in Special Education. She came to teach Significant Support Needs as a second career. Her bachelor's degree is in Art History, and she spent a decade as a caretaker of a daughter with Rett Syndrome who was medically fragile and passed away mid 2017. Mrs. Wood learned about Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) with her daughter as well as a lot about Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Special Education.
