Mrs. Nikki Sirko is overjoyed to join the ARE community for the upcoming school year. She has been in education since 2002 and has a true passion for her work in schools. No matter the role she has played, putting kids first and working collaboratively is at the heart of her work. She comes to us from Jeffco where she has been an administrator since 2012. Prior to that she was a 2nd and 4th grade teacher, literacy interventionist, and instructional coach. Nikki and her husband both grew up in Colorado and now live in Broomfield with their 2 boys, Porter and Weston and dog Arthur. Being a true Coloradoan, she enjoys spending time outside riding bikes, hiking, and skiing (although her family can ski circles around her).
Birthday: June 7th
Favorite color: Pink-the brighter the better!
Favorite food: Chips and queso or crab legs if I'm feeling fancy.
Advice to students: Falling down or making mistakes is part of the journey. If you get up, dust yourself off and try again, you're moving in the right direction.
