Robin grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and Detroit. She moved to Colorado in 1996, drawn to the mountains and the outdoor lifestyle. In her spare time, she loves to hike, camp, bike, swim, and take long walks with her kids (Matthew (16)/Jennifer (13)) and her two rescue dogs (Harriet/Janna). She loves reading adventure stories and memoirs. She started in Adams Twelve as a Title I Reading Specialist at McElwain Elementary. She has worked at Arapahoe Ridge for twenty years, most recently as a Learning Specialist with the Special Education Department and also as a classroom teacher on the Kindergarten and 2nd grade teams. She is starting a new role for the 2019-2020 school year. She will be serving as an Academic Interventionist. Academic Interventionists in Adams Twelve are split between two schools every other week. So, Robin was thrilled to get to stay at Arapahoe Ridge to engage in this work while also being asked to return to McElwain as her second school! She will be working in literacy intervention during this school year and will spend next year working in math intervention. She loves continuing to work with all of the amazing and dedicated teachers of Arapahoe Ridge! She is passionate about helping students achieve success in the areas of reading, writing, and math. She can't wait for another incredible year of learning!
