Dear Arapahoe Ridge Elementary Community,
I am honored to serve as the principal in this wonderful community. As we move into this very important school year, I am excited to welcome our students back into our building. For some of our students this will be their first time in our building, for others it will be their first time since March 2020, and for others yet, it has only been a few short months. As we all make this transition I am excited to grow as a community because we are Better Together.
Let me share a few things about my professional background. I have been in education for 20 years, all of which have been here in Colorado. I taught both primary and intermediate elementary school before moving out of the classroom and into a coaching role. After spending three years as an instructional coach, I moved into administration. I was both an assistant principal and principal at my previous school where I spent the last 7 years before moving districts and joining the Arapahoe Ridge family. Being in a variety of schools and districts as a teacher and administrator, I have seen how school communities come together to support our students. I look forward to maintaining the strong community foundation that I have already seen here at ARE.
When not at school, you will find me with my two sons and husband playing outside, hiking and biking. My husband and I are both Colorado natives and are lucky to have most of our family close by.
Strong, trusting connections with both students and families are important to me. I strive to know all of our students by name, strength and need as we work as a team to support our ARE students. Together we will achieve amazing things!
With much appreciation,
