Our Principal
Dear Arapahoe Ridge Elementary Community,
I am honored to serve as the principal in this wonderful community. As we move into this school year, we begin our theme of Grit & Grace. As a staff we strive to continue to improve our craft and model for our students our ability to persevere with grit. We often give our students grace in their work and ensure they know that when students continue to challenge themselves they will Modeling this for our students allows them to give themselves grace in their work.
Let me share a few things about my professional background. I have been in education for 20 years, all of which have been here in Colorado. I taught both primary and intermediate elementary school before moving out of the classroom and into a coaching role. After spending three years as an instructional coach, I moved into administration. I was both an assistant principal and principal at my previous school where I spent the last 7 years before moving districts and joining the Arapahoe Ridge family. Being in a variety of schools and districts as a teacher and administrator, I have seen how school communities come together to support our students. I look forward to maintaining the strong community foundation that I have already seen here at ARE.
When not at school, you will find me with my two sons and husband playing outside, hiking and biking. My husband and I are both Colorado natives and are lucky to have most of our family close by.
Strong, trusting connections with both students and families are important to me. I strive to know all of our students by name, strength and need as we work as a team to support our ARE students. Together we will achieve amazing things!
With much appreciation,
Nikki Sirko
