Work under way for 12-classroom building expansion
Construction is pushing ahead quickly on our building expansion. As of the week of Jan. 8, dirt export work from the site is finishing. You probably have noticed there is a large mound of dirt on the west side of the construction site. This dirt will remain here in the short term as foundation work takes place for the expansion. As the project moves along, you should see this dirt pile began to shrink as the excess dirt is used to backfill the excavation area around this expansion. Drilling work on the 73 foundation piers for the new building has also begun. This work will be a bit noisy for our students and staff. JHL Constructors has been a wonderful partner and is hoping to schedule some of the more potentially disruptive work to coincide with our assessment day and Martin Luther King Jr. holiday to mitigate the impact on students and staff. As always, you can find updates on this project at www.adams12.org/projects/arapahoe-ridge-elementary-school and feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
