Kindergarten
We are committed to providing a quality education for your child and will encourage children to become independent and self-confident throughout the school year. We value communication between home and school, and we work hard to develop partnerships with families. Most importantly we work to ensure that school is a positive place for your child.
Meet Our Teachers

Our Kindergarten teachers are dedicated to educating the whole child. They build strong, personal connections with students and intentionally tap into each child’s unique personality to help every learner succeed. In addition to teaching reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, our teachers focus on essential life skills. Students learn how to be part of a community, cooperate with peers and adults, solve social problems, and actively participate in our Specials classes—music, physical education, and art.
Arapahoe Ridge Kindergarteners learn both inside and beyond the classroom. A variety of field trips extend learning into the real world, while special celebrations throughout the year create lasting memories. These include Spirit Days and Spirit Weeks, an all-school carnival, a Thanksgiving Program, a Spring Celebration Concert, the One Book, One School community event, and the much-anticipated Kindergarten Graduation.
You're on your way to K!
At Arapahoe Ridge Elementary, we recognize that the transition to Kindergarten is a meaningful milestone—not only for your child, but for your entire family. A child’s very first experience with school often shapes their attitude toward learning for years to come. That’s why our Arapahoe Ridge Kindergarten team is committed to creating a supportive, nurturing, and positive start to your child’s educational journey.
A smooth transition into Kindergarten helps set the foundation for confidence, curiosity, and long-term success in school. The information below is designed to support Arapahoe Ridge families as you prepare your child for this exciting new chapter and help them feel ready, comfortable, and eager to learn.
